What Recipetor is

Recipetor (https://recipetor.xyz) is a personal recipe manager. You sign in, paste a link, text, or a photo of a recipe, and Recipetor extracts and stores a clean version of it in your private collection.

Information we collect

• Account data from Google sign-in, handled by our authentication provider Clerk: your name, email address, and profile picture. We use it only to identify your account.
• Content you add: recipe URLs, pasted text, uploaded images or PDFs, and the recipes, cookbooks, and ingredient lists created from them.
• Technical data needed to run the service, such as server logs with IP address and request times, kept briefly by our hosting provider.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Cookies are limited to keeping you signed in and remembering your theme.

How we use it

• To extract recipes: the page content, text, or file you submit is sent to Google Gemini for processing and is not used to train our own models.
• To store recipes and copies of recipe images so they remain available if the original site changes.
• To show your recipes to you, and to anyone you deliberately share a read-only link with.

We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties except the service providers below.

• Clerk (authentication and session management)
• Google Gemini API (recipe extraction from the content you submit)
• Neon (PostgreSQL database hosting, EU region)
• Vercel (application hosting and image storage)

Sharing

Recipes are private by default. If you create a share link, anyone holding that link can view and print that recipe until you turn sharing off. Share links are not indexed by search engines.

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account exists. You can delete any recipe, cookbook, or share link in the app at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, use the account menu or email us at kalfada3321@gmail.com.

Your rights

You can access, export (JSON), correct, or delete your data at any time. Contact us for anything you cannot do from within the app.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above is updated. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
